Student and Faculty Networking Mixer

The bi-annual student and faculty reception takes place in early fall and late March. This is a great opportunity to network with faculty and connect with current and prospective students in the sustainable development program.

Alum Panel and Networking Session

This event will give current majors and special concentrators the opportunity to hear from alums on navigating sustainability career paths in a vast and rapidly evolving field. Students then break out into assigned groups for a networking discussion with one of the alums.

Capstone Workshop Briefings

The Capstone Workshop in Sustainable Development allows undergraduate students to bridge the theoretical knowledge they have gained through their coursework in the natural and social sciences with a real-world, client-based project. Students will share project results with the university community at this event before final presentations with their clients.

Senior Reception

Each year in May, the program gives seniors the opportunity to reflect on their experiences in the program and at Columbia as they prepare for graduation. This celebratory event will allow students and faculty to gather to celebrate a new class of sustainability professionals and to wish students all the best on their next steps.
